About The Artist

Hi! My name is Heather, but I've been known as Nutty for my crazy ideas for art.. and my thrill-seeking  roller skating style!

I've always been an arty person since I was young. I was born In Launceston, Tasmania in 1990 and moved to Western Australia in 1994.

From a young age, I dealt with various hardships such as disabilities and social anxiety, but art was always an escape and a way to keep me going. Which it did, throughout both primary and secondary schools, where I kept drawing and practicing and honing my skills. After finishing year 12, I started organising and running local music gigs such as “Creatures of the Night” while I was doing a tattoo apprenticeship and working part-time. After this, I started Horror Glamor and expanded my existing art experience with crafts.

After 10 years running Horror Glamor, I felt that I'd accomplished what I set out to do, I've learned a lot during this time, and expanded my horizons even further, including making T-shirts, Carry Bags, Cushions and much more.

Due to accomplishing my goals with Horror Glamor, I've decided to re-brand the name to Nutty Art World, as I feel my art has expanded and so should my goals! So with that, a new name, a new objective and a (somewhat) new adventure.

Personal Accomplishments: Events, Gigs, Awards and other mischief:

• Won some cool prizes for hand colour competition for pepsi.2004
• Wearable art at High school, Mundaring Art Centre as well as Darlington Art Festival 2005-2008
• In 2006 did stage design for Rock Eisteddfod as well as the state finals
• Designed a poster for HIEST Music Festival 2006
• Stage production management assistance (volunteer) at Telethon 2007
• Started learning Photography in 2007 Year 12 with an SLR
• 2008 got my First DSLR camera
• Had my Photography at Mundaring Art Centre 2008-2009
• Study Music Engineering  Tech Production 2008-2009
• Horror Glamor Started in 2010 April
• Started selling Horror Glamor produce at Market stalls as well had some stock at local shops in Perth and Fremantle
• Run three own event nights @newport Fremantle 'Creature of the night,2,3'  2011
• Went to Melbourne tattoo school for 2 weeks in 2012 (Health and Safety)
• Started doing tattoo apprenticeship in 2013-2015

About NAW

Nutty art world takes inspiration from many places, but some notable ones would be Tim Burton and Alex Grey. My distinct style is often based around fusing together various elements in a juxtaposition of themes and colours. My works are typically vibrant in colour with playfully dark themes and a psychedelic twist!

Nutty Art World specializes in unique and original art of various mediums spanning;

With Nutty Art World I want to be able make an independent living through my art, working with commission designs for both business and personal clients, Mural/Street art, online store, markets and more.

More importantly, my ultimate goal for Nutty Art World is to develop a community where art lovers and artists, both aspiring and established, can come together and celebrate everything artistic this world has to offer!
